“Our team worked for months, producing numerous designs and multiple prototypes to achieve this very compact high-quality lens,” said Bill Turner, senior vice president of Schneider Optics. “The iPro Tele covers the full still and video formats of the iPhone camera without vignetting. The result is a high level of picture quality across the entire image, not just in the center.”

The other two lenses in the iPro set provide a wider view than the iPhone’s native lens. The iPro Wide Angle lens increases the iPhone’s field-of-view by 35 percent and the Fisheye provides a wow-ing 165° field of view for incredible panorama shots. All three lenses exhibit low distortion and edge-to-edge sharpness.

Purpose built for the iPhone 4 and 4S, the iPro System features a rugged black iPhone case with a bayonet mount to allow iPro lenses to be quickly mounted and interchanged. The iPro Lens System’s professional optics are simple to use, and store in the smartly-designed handle. The iPro case also facilitates tripod mounting.

iPro lenses are designed by the same team who are responsible for the world-renowned Century television and motion picture optics. These superior optics feature multi-element designs, top grade optical glass and high efficiency multi-layer coatings which increase light transmission and reduce lens flare. iPro lens housings are precision machined from aluminum alloy and anodized for durability.

The existing iPro Lens set, available now for a list of $199, includes the iPhone case, Fisheye and Wide Angle lenses, and Handle/lens case. The new iPro 2X Tele lens will be available in April for an estimated price of $100.00 (Exact pricing TBD).
